Are You a Woman and Want to Own Your Own Business

Good beautiful morning from Winter Haven Florida, it is currently Sunny and 73 degrees out! Okay, so who wants to move to Florida and start their own business? As the crowd stampedes the Welcome to Florida “Free Orange Juice” Center. So I found an awesome website the other day. No this is not a Work From Home offer! 🙂 Anyway, I found a great website that has tons of resources for starting your own business.

You don’t have to wait forever you don’t have to wait until the kids grow up. You don’t have to wait until you get older, or learn more or read more or get more degrees or lose weight or gain weight or have a makeover! Whatever your reason for waiting to start your own business, you don’t have to wait! Start towards your goal, a little bit every day!  I remember when I was dreaming of opening a coffee house. Miriam, my business partner at Vigoa Cuisine was always very encouraging when I told her about my dream to open a coffee house. Her words were, “every day do one thing towards opening a coffee house.” It didn’t have to be as extreme as getting a business license. It could be reading a book on how to make gourmet coffee or planning the menu I wanted to have. It could include researching where I could buy coffee wholesale, looking up used equipment stores to compare prices to new machines.

Whatever your desire is deep down in your heart if you burn to go into business for yourself, just because you are a Mom and a full-time employee or a stay at home Mom, there’s still plenty of space for you in the entrepreneurial world. A good friend of mine Allison Mook is a prime example of a working Mom and wife that started her own business from a passion to protect children. Allison and her business partner created an app called Bullipatrol to help monitor social media to protect kids from bullying. What a super service for our families and children! Can you imagine what the world would be missing out on if she would have said, “no, I better wait until my son grows up.”

She would have missed out on helping all the parents out there protect their children. What idea are you keeping locked inside of your heart? The amazing thing is now, her company is offering the app to insurance companies so you can get it through your work! Even easier! That never would have happened if she wouldn’t have followed her passion to help protect children and open her own company!

So here’s to great ideas and Women who will follow their hearts to create sustainable change for the good of our fellow inhabitants on the earth. Oh, and the resource I talked about earlier, it’s an awesome list of 80 Podcasts you can plug into right now to start the creative juices flowing. What kind of business do you want to open? Have you always dreamed of writing a book and helping people? There are resources for that, check out         90 Minute Books, (full disclosure, I write for them 🙂 Or maybe you have always wanted to make your famous jam and sell it to your raving fans, there are resources for that check out this list of U.S Kitchen Incubators.

Whatever your dream is that is silently whispering your name and calling you towards your hopes and inspiration, listen, listen quietly and ask, “What shall I do today to get one step closer to my dream?” Your raving fans are awaiting your arrival!

Till next time, take good care of yourself and your dreams!

Let us know in the comments, what’s your dream for change in the world!
