Family Friendly Events Orlando November 3rd- 11th

Family playing on a bridge

Top of the day to you! Who wants family-friendly events in Orlando? I guess we all recovered from the overconsumption of candy corn and mini snickers! Well we’re just getting warmed up for the Holiday season here in Florida, literally, it’s 86. I’m not complaining we were doing a show in Ohio two weeks ago it was 25, our olive oil actually congealed right there at the booth!

Well, let me get down to business. This weekend is the Lake Eola Fiesta in the Park in downtown Orlando. Super duper kid friendly with lots of bounce houses and games and of course art and crafts from over 400 artists I believe. There is also live music at night for the adults. We will be there with our seasoned olive oils on Robinson Street, Vigoa Cuisine come to try a sample! We’d love to see you. This Saturday and Sunday

This next organization is so awesome even though they don’t have anything in Orlando that I have found they are all over Florida. It’s called www.SplashPals.com it’s an organization for disabled children and adults to enjoy swimming. What an awesome organization you can volunteer to make teddy bears at different events and hand deliver with them as well. You really must check them out!

18th Annual Japan Orlando Festival Nov. 4th it’s a family event for those who love live martial arts displays and traditional Japanese dancing and painting. There will be arts and crafts as well as Japanese food available. Hosted by the City of Kissimmee. The martial arts demonstrations include real swords and Japanese carnival games and “How to Make Origami” classes.

In the mood for a little family fun that is very active? How about Defy Orlando Extreme Air Sports, you can do flight class or group jump and from the looks of the website you got all kinds of good stuff. The best thing ever is they have kids under six years of age only so no worries for the little kids and the big kids bumping heads!

The Jungle Book October 18- November 16 from Orlando Shakespeare Theatre. We all know the story a young boy raised by wolves there’s a cunning tiger and lots of jungle for everyone. Come to see the classic tale and enjoy the journey through the Indian Jungle.

I don’t know about you but there is so much to do here in Florida that is Family Friendly I don’t really even miss sleigh riding. Now I really don’t miss having to get dressed up in snow pants and a scarf and gloves and boots and long johns. Because we all know once you finally get the kids in there, what happens? They have to tinkle! Still in the mood for some cold weather? How about some ice?

Who doesn’t love a slippery slide made from Ice!

Here in Florida, we got it going on. We get snow, it’s just inside, right? Okay, who needs snow we got ICE! Come to the Gaylord Palms Resort. A fantastic Holiday event. Remember the movie A Christmas Story? Watch this hilarious movie come to life and it’s all made from 2 million pounds of Ice! And even better it’s only 9 degrees!

Well whatever you decide to take on this weekend we hope that it is jam cram packed with good and wonderful things! Let us know if you have an event you would like us to share with our readers.

Take good care,

Kristi Linebaugh
