Fun Summer Activities with Kids

What can we do to keep our kids busy during the Summer, that’s fun? Since adults are really just tall children (don’t tell your kids that) we want to have fun as well. Here’s a quick list of fun stuff to do with your kids and surprise, surprise, it’s adult friendly!

5.)Join a library program: Hillsborough County Public Library has a variety of free educational events and classes for people of all ages. Enjoy their recommended summer reading lists, reading contests, tech help, and fitness events. It’s a nice change of pace to check a book out instead of a video game. 😉

6.)Do your children love animals and roller coasters? Busch Gardens is the perfect combination of the two! Spend the day or a week, you’ll ride your favorite rides, go behind the scenes and experience special exotic animal habitat tours, and participate in activities such as arts and crafts. Now that’s a full day!

7.)Want a more low key activity the whole family enjoys together? How about the YMCA, you’re setting a great example of being active and healthy with a range of family activities, educational classes, camps and programs to cater to every age range. Run off some of their energy so they sleep better when they get home. You will too 😉

8.)St. Petersburg is home to many different kinds of museums including the Dali Museum, The Museum of Fine Arts, Florida Holocaust Museum, Great Explorations Children’s Museum, and the St. Petersburg Museum of History, just to name a few. If you’re looking for an immersive (and indoor) experience in history or art, these museums are perfect for you and your family.

Take care,

Stephanie
